Our Story
The History
In the summer of 1844, a merchant named John Alexander came to Wisconsin from Scotland with his wife and three sons. He purchased a parcel of land from Nathan Storrs, which he farmed. On it he built a wheat warehouse, which is made of lime mortar, invented by Joseph Goodrich of Milton House fame.
The Now
Years later, John Alexander's wheat warehouse still stands. Now 3 generations of our family work here in various capacities, making the wine, bottling it, and selling it in the tasting room. We invite you to come, savor and enjoy the experience!
Promoting the Community
We provide the community with a product and service that helps strengthen the local economy. We make our products on-site, and promote local crafters, artists and food producers, as well as promoting our local businesses.
